"Hunted" by Meagan Spooner Review (Spoiler Free)

Hope everyone is ha having an amazing start to their June! Sorry I've been out for a hot minute but I am going to try an be consistant on here.

I've been getting into reading and I've actually started a book tube not too long ago called "Ohhileo Books" right now I haven't really had a chance to upload any reviews or TBR just yet BUT I'm still working on it and messing with the video editor. ANNNNNNNYWAY! with that being said I have started to pick up reading and pretty much fall back in love with it, recently I had a free credit from Audible and I ended up getting Meagan Spooner's Haunted.

So

(Full disclaimer the spelling of the names might be butchered)

Breif Synopses':

Hunted is a way way different re-taling of Beauty and the Beast, when I first read it I felt it was a mix of that along with a side of Hunger Games but just in the beginning and after that you don't really see the resembelance anymore. The sorry tells about a girl name Yeva who is the youngest for 3 daughters and her father Tercko is this rich man who has been doing well for years...until he loses everything.

Then they move to their old hunting cabin and basically starts back up from zero however he is never heard of again. Ao of course Yeva being the restless young woman that she is (she also reminds me of  Mulan & Merida) she goes and looks for him...that is until she notices something big and bad HUNTING her.

My Review:

right...so lets get started.

I loved the start of how this novel started because as I mentioned before, the writing reminded me a weeeee bit of the hunger games and it was exciting when I first started to listen to it, until after Yeva being captured and after that it kinda got slow, and majority of the book stands in a stand still after Yeva's dad goes missing.

Now I know what you are thinking....but Bri, you gotta remember it's a book...and yes I know it's a book but throw a little bit of excitement here and there.

Now if you absolutely loved it, than that's cool! I don't blame you it's a pretty good book, I just thought the middle and a good portion of the book was lagging and a bit slow. Have you read this book? let me know what you think about it.

Too Faced Peanut Butter & Honey Pallet Review

Hello my lovelies!

Happy Monday! sending you all beautiful colorful vibes today. So a couple of weeks ago I purchased Too Faced "Peanut Butter & Honey" eye shadow pallet and I remember seeing the colors and being so excited for get it and smell it and wear it as well as blending the wonderful colors.

However.....it wasn't what I expected and I was actually so disappointed that the colors did not blend well at all and they faded so quickly, especially the yellow shade. It lasted mostly 1-2 hours and then it faded away. (sorry I don't have any pictures or before or after pics or swatches . and the application itself was difficult and clumpy to apply and don't get me wrong I love all of Too Faced products; however I feel like the eye shadows don't have a strong pigment formula but that's just my opinion.

I'd thought I'd give you what my little review and my opinion of this product. If you got it as well, let me know what you think about it! :)

Happy Thursday! and I hope your day is going fantastic!  It's finally March and it's crazy how fast time is going by I mean next thing you know it will be Thanksgiving time all over again.

With February come and gone I figured I would do my first favorites of the past month and as well do a least favorites for the month of February and will probably be up for Friday as well as a Review of Makeup Revolution's Luxe lip kit, Mermaids Forever & Unicorns Unite eye shadow pallet.

For last month most of my favorite products were pretty much body and hair products:

-Pixi Skintreats "Hydrating Milky Mist"

-Not your mothers Plump for joy" Hair lifter"

-Not your mothers "whip it up colonizing styling mousse"

-Smashbox 24 hr eyeshadow primer

-Lush's Wiccy Magic Muscles

So let me start with the primer, if you have very unreasonably crazy oily eyelids like yours truly....then please please get this primer! usually when I don't feel like wearing eyeshadow or liner I dab a tiny bit of this on each lid and I have perfectly matte lids for the rest of the day. And when I do have liner or eyeshadow on my shadows don't crease, they don't pool up or "wash" away with the oily.

So for Smashbox's 24 hr eyeshadow primer I give it a

NOT YOUR MOTHERS Products:

I literally used Not your mothers Whip it up volumizing mousse & Plump for joy  hair lifter almost every other day. Whip it up smells like cinnamon toast crunch and really you don't have to use much product, so it can actually last you a lot longer than what you would expect. As for Plump for Joy It didn't really plump my hair at all It gave very little volume, then again it's very hard for volumizing items to give my hair that "umff" so it might be my hair.

Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Mist:

Theres no other way to put this....THIS STUFF IS AMAZEBALLS!

After washing and toning your face, you just either add 2 or 3 sprays all over your face let it dry or use a gauze pad and then bam and boom your face stays freaking smooth!....just trust me on this haha.

to their bath bombs to their shower jellies....you can't really go wrong with Lush 💖 . I got their massage bar back in December as a Christmas gift from Michael and this is suppose to help with any achy muscles you might have and it's seriously the best thing ever! usually after an intense workout I use it and hoot mama it is a life saver I feel so relaxed. The smell of cinnamon spices is just amazing!

Simple Pink/Purple Unicorn Eye Makeup

Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is having a great day so far. Last week I completely forgot that I ordered two pallets from Ulta and they came in yesterday which was a complete surprise for me...and come on we both know when you order something and totally forget about it, it's a very pleasant surprise you receive it.

I purchased the Mermaids Forever Pallet and the "Unicorns Unite" pallet, mainly because the boxes were so beautiful and I am someone who LOVE pretty holographic color and anything bright. So these Pallets are from Make-Up Revolution at Ulta and I had heard good reviews on them so for a good price it's pretty good and not to mention the colors are GORGEOUS!


Since I have horrible lighting in my bedroom as well as my whole house ( There is good lighting in some spots of my house...not all of them -___- ) so I wasn't able to do any swatches but I will do that sometime tomorrow. BUT anyways..I thought I'd try to do simple unicorn look...it kinda went pinkish/purpleish look! but hey! it still looked magical.....at least I think it did :P

Come on...it wouldn't be the same without NPH

Let's See Where These 60 Days Take Me...

Hello my lovely Colorful fantastic friends!

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone’s day is going fantastic and awesome! So there is a bit of an update with me, on Monday I started to do a new intense challenge that comes with (additional though) Gastrointestinal clean up system called “Gut.Fix” along with Lifetime’s 60 day challenge.

However that will not be the case for me this year, I’ve started my second challenge round at lifetime fitness (60 Day Challenge) and I’m actually fully sticking to it. Okay let me just say when I first joined LT I automatically got entered in their 60 Day Challenge and I was doing pretty good….UNTIL I got the stomach virus for about a week and half and I couldn’t jump back in it again. Trust me, I tried to get back in the game but my stomach was just not having it.

So here I am again, back at square one…..but two pounds lighter so yay!!!. 

So with this 30 day program it really really but I mean REALLY resets your habits to square one, with a very strict meal plan meaning on Monday I went grocery shopping and to a better health style. It's definitely change but I am so up for it and I can't wait to see where it takes me.

Snail Mailing Adventures!

Hello my lovely mermaids!

I have a real fun update! I'm starting to do snail mail/pen pals again!

about 4 years ago I use to be really big into writing letters and sending parcels to friends all over the world and doing a whole bunch of awesome swaps! but unfortunately I had to go on a slight hiatus...for 4 years. Due to personal issues I could no longer continue writing my pen pals, some I'm still friends with and others just ghosted me.

But here I am back at it! and what I'm going to do is every month like there is a favorites month whether it's make up, books etc I will do a favorites for what I receive from my pen pals!

I'm so excited to start pen paling again and I can't wait to share with you all what I receive and of course I will be sending what I will be sending them as well :)

♡ 2017..0 Resolutions But Plenty Of Improvments♡

Hello my beautiful mermaids!

I know it’s been a hot minute since I’ve written on here and I kinda forgot to come back here (oops!)

Anywho we are 23 days into 2017 and a bunch of stuff has happened and I’m not going to go into detail because I’m sure everyone is very well aware.

There are reasons why I don’t do resolutions anymore and that’s because just like everyone else I break them, granted NOT everyone breaks them…in fact I give those who stick with their resolutions throughout the whole year. The older I get the more I realize that resolutions are not really doing it for me because if you think about it, you are more prone to break that resolution if it’s the same one you’ve promised to do every single year.

So here I am at 29 years and started a new year thinking to myself “Do I really want to make New Year resolutions? Should I even bother? I mean come on Bri…we all know what’s going to happen a month from now….you gonna forget! But the more I thought about it the more I thought about what I would love to improve versus actually making a resolution.

So for 2017 I have made a list of what I would love to improve in so here goes!

*Keep eating my veggies (I’m currently trying to lose weight so trying to eat more greens)

* Prep my food for either the following day or week. Reason is because I’ve noticed myself actually spending money I do not need to be spending and not actually eating the food I bought to cook for my weeks at work.

*Also…actually making the time to cook, I do make some time but I feel like I can improve not only my cooking skills but also make an effort. ESPECIALLY if I want to better my eating habits.

*Clean my damn car and room…Michael likes to call me a hurricane, not because I’m a wild free spirit but because I make a mess in any room or open area I touch…..I’ve learn to accept this

*Actually work on and improve on make-up and my craft ideas. Funny story I use to be so invested in my small business that I was actually making some cash on the side while I was unemployed, wasn’t a lot of money but enough if I wanted to treat myself to a coffee or a meal at Chuy’s. In reality working so far from home and driving in what is the never ending Austin traffic is so freaking exhausted.

Happy Tuesday BloginBabes!

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I know the Austin area was still being flushed out with the rain however since I have been out of the state since Thursday, the weather here in Chicago has been AMAZING! Just beautiful weather, it did rain for like a day or two hardcore but cleared up real quick. Since I'm on vacation from work I am spending the whole week here and what better way to start off the week than with attending Wizard World!!


For those of you who don't know what Wizard World is, it's like a sort of smaller Comic Con but it's so much fun! As it should be of course, This was actually my first time at one and what better way to pop my comic con cherry with my handsome Aries ♡ It was truly an amazing experience, definitely going to do it again next year with my beloved and since we have a general Idea of how much things pretty much are we can always start saving up for next years which is always exciting. If you were a 90's kid you are probably going to remember waking up every morning on Saturdays to watch The Power Rangers! So I'm pretty sure you know who I'm talking about..... (if you following me on any social media you are going to guess right) Mr. Tommy Oliver himself; Jason David Frank! and let me tell y'all it was a real dream come true because as most 90's kids he was our hero like all I wanted to do was play with my power ranger toys and become a power ranger myself AKA every child in the world did!

I was a jittery mess, we were all talking about what we would say to him and of course being the chatty Cathy that I am I was telling him a random story about how I came across getting the green ranger shirt for my brother on Christmas lol didn't even let Aries talk like at all just said his name "how's it going" 

When I get nervous I talk....and alot. So when we got to him I introduced myself and like right away asked him for a hug, totes did not think he was going to give me one and he did so of course you can imagine my total fan girling moment and it pretty much went like this

He was just such a sweetheart, you can defenitly tell when the fans are everything for actors (and musicians) he was such a laid back down to earth kind of guy. I'm so happy Aries mentioned it to me and bought the tickets for us to go, he's truly an amazing boyfriend....and knows that his girlfriend is hands down a huge noob at heart ♡

Since my last post a lot has been going on, my wonderful Aries came into town and we've been having mini adventures here and there (couldn't do much because it was raining in Austin...Womp womp!)

However we did eat ALOT....I mean alot haha we did have a little night out with my cousin and her family so I decided to play with my make up and then it ended up liking what I created haha. I used my Disney "Cast a Spell Maleficent" beauty book.

So I usually don't really do eye's besides mascara and the occasional eye liner but I'm trying to widen my horizons to kinda see what all I can do, after all my mom is like a Queen at blending (I will post something with her in it so you can bare witness of the amazing talent that is my mother!). However I thought this was a perfect casual and bold look pretty much for any day.

Happy Monday my lovelies!

Breaking News! Michael comes to Austin in literally 5 days! and then I will be on a two week vacation! I cannot wait for him to see Austin as well get a general view of my everyday life here in Austin. 

We'll be celebrating my birthday as well as our one year anniversary earlier (8/28). So excited! 

Moving on! sorry for gushing I'm just so excited for my Panda bear to come home.

Today was a random day where I felt like actually taking my time and doing my make up, as well as it's been a hot minute since I posted a LSOTD...so here you go!

A while back I had bought like two of the Milani Metals...okay maybe like 5 of them

However I haven't really reviewed them fully so once I do use them for a week I will totes write a little review for them which so far I am loving them! and best thing of all, everyone thought they were Kylie's "King K" which was so much fun having people guessing if I was wearing the real thing or if it was a dupe :P

My experience with the "Que Bella Professionals" Masks

Hello my lovelies!

Long time no chat! So I wanted to write about a little situation that happened to me last night and honestly I can't get the smell out of my nose as well as I can't put anything on my face cause it's like super sensitive right now 

A couple of weeks ago (more like a month ago) I bought the Que Bella masks..you know the one you actually spread around your face, not the made masks. I tried those and it was amazing but the application of the masks were a little messy but of course you spread it all over your face I liked how there was enough product in the bag to actually you know share with someone else. but after apply it and letting it sit for like 3 minutes (it's suppose to be for 15 minutes!) but the stench was so horrid as it stung so bad I couldn't keep it on for the full 15, after I washed it off I could smell moldy flowers....you know that smell when you move flowers from a vase that have had that moldy water....yeah that

If Michael were here he wouldn't kiss me...honestly I wouldn't even kiss me cause my face smelled like that and the package said it was suppose to be "Lavender" scent....there was nothing lavender about it.

I really really wanted to love the masks but the only thing I loved more was the already made masks.

Blog Name Change and my advise on periscope; have fun with it!

Hello my loves!

As you noticed I changed the name to my blog as well as my twitter handle, well the reason is because I noticed that Kaleidoscope Heart from a song and a lot of people use it so God forbid I ever got sued for using that I decided to change it to "Oh Hi Leo" Reason why I chose that blog name is because A. I'm a Leo and B. hili there! I like to think that since I'm a naturally a nice person I'm always saying hello to everyone even if it's just a smile cause you know everyone deserves a gesture of good faith or maybe they need a pick me up since Pokemon Go servers are down (NOOOOOOO!) 

Okay so Moffat doesn't really have anything to do with this post, just for the dramatics really.  On to what I mainly came on here to blog about. I've had a periscope for what seems like the longest time and I was hooked and stopped broadcasting back in March before I went back home to Chicago so I thought I would always periscope but since I have a different early schedule now it's kind of impossible to stay up and do broadcasts so I figured I'd start doing them randomly thought the day or even when I get off work.

My Periscopes need some work but it's okay cause all that matters is that you have fun with it! and if your a shy person who would like to start making periscopes just do it, there is always going to be mean people out there and you know what screw them, if they can't say anything nice then it's probably because they are so fed up with their social life they think that they can bring someone down with them. Trust me, just have fun with it and ignore ignorant people; for example today I was broadcasting about Pokemon Go and someone decided that it would be "fun" to make fun of my gap between my top front teeth, now I know that this has always been there, i've been very full aware even though that I still don't have the funds to get that corrected at this point of time (which I will) I love my little gap and what happened, blocked his ass! cause people are always going to find little flaws in you no matter what social media platform you go on. My advise is love what you do, have fun with it and enjoy it!

DIY: Apple & Banana Smoothie! ♡

Since I have a sweet tooth and training your pallete to a healthy way of eating or drinking sweets it can be rather difficult but nothing is impossible!

I a couple of weeks ago I made a yummy smoothie that I never posted on here to share with you all, it's a Apple & Banana smoothie and it was amazing!

All you need is the following:

- 1 cup of Almond Milk

-half an apple

- Half of banana 

- 1 Scoop of vanilla protein powder

♡Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Review♡

Hello World and Happy Weekend!!

So before I left to San Francisco last month I was completely out of my Urban Decay Naked and I had just enough (which mean like two or three drops left) I had gotten some samples of my regular naked cause being that I was in SF I know the tax was going to be bonkers so I just thought I'd wait until I got some. Welp when I stepped into Ulta I noticed that UD has new Naked Skin One & Done foundations in six shades; Light, Medium light, Medium, Medium Dark, Dark & Deep. 

Which when I saw it and had some applied to my face, it felt amazing! I mean UD original Naked Skin foundation does what it's name hold...it makes your face feel naked which I love, I personally don't like when my face feels cakey and there are some foundations that leave that cakey feeling, but that's for another post :) Well this new One & Done it's very hydrating which is perfect for the summer months...you know since I live in Texas half of the time we don't really have fever...it's more like Summer half of the time hahaha

like I mentioned it's very hydrating and I feel like I'm not really wearing anything BUT I usually apply it after I applied my moisturizer, it last I swear all day of course with primer and Color Corrections it works like a charm!

♡Hair Boost Caboose ♡

Hello my loves, Happy Thursday!!

Since I can remember I have always had very fair/thin hair, sadly it's genetic and with that being said my hair sometimes just made it look like I had a head full of oil half of the time, oh yeah I forgot to mention I have a oily scalp so my hair gets oily very quickly.

Now one of my amazing friends is a hairdresser and she was the one who hooked it up and got me taking care of my hair a little more, like me having just a little bit more volume. Usually when it come to volume I have a couple of products that I've used and some have not worked so well but there are some that have been amazing products to me!

I live by Lush's "Roots" it's so amazing this product is for those like myself who have fine, thin hair. all you gotta do is apply, massage your scalp and normally what I do is do my tips as well and wait 20 minutes... Now there is sometimes I use Big Sexy Hair's Volumizing Treatment once I was Roots off, all you normally gotta do is just damp your hair apply and comb over wait 5 minutes and then rinse off. 

However sometimes I don't normally do both, there's sometimes I'm in a rush and I don't have 20 minutes to spare which usually is during the week when I have to work, in that instance I just do Big Sexy Hair.; either way both of these products work and they do a fanfreakingtastic job!

When I do use Roots once the 20 minutes are up, rinse out and shampoo as usually!

annnnnnd taaaada!!!
